Overview
Volumetric Feeder
A volumetric feeder dispenses bulk solids at a constant volume per unit time, without weight feedback. It is suitable for Free-flowing and semi-free-flowing powders, granules, flakes, fibers.

Material Loading
Material is loaded into the feed hopper. An optional agitator or bridge-breaker inside the hopper keeps the material flowing freely and prevents bridging.
Metering
The metering element -- most commonly a single screw or twin screw -- rotates at a set speed. With each revolution, it picks up and conveys a defined volume of material toward the outlet. The screw geometry determines how much material is displaced per revolution.
Discharge
Material exits through the discharge outlet at the bottom of the feeder, either by gravity or assisted by the feed force, into the downstream process.
Speed Control
The operator sets the desired feed rate via a local control panel or remote signal. The controller adjusts the motor speed accordingly, providing real-time control of the volumetric output.

Consistent Mass Flow
Simplicity & Reliability
The system typically consists only of a hopper, a dosing screw and a motor. It is highly robust, experiences low mechanical wear, and is less prone to technical failure in harsh industrial environments.
Cost-Effectiveness
Volumetric feeders are significantly less expensive to purchase than gravimetric feeders because they do not require high-precision weighing systems or advanced dynamic control loops.
Flexible Design
Each ingredient is fed by its own gravimetric feeder. The system synchronizes all feeders so that the combined flow matches the total throughput, while each individual flow meets the required ratio.
