01 — Role Overview

About the Position

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be at the core of our product development cycle — designing powder processing equipment including jet mills, spray dryers, and integrated production lines. You will leverage advanced 3D design tools and simulation software to bring engineered solutions from concept to production-ready hardware, serving clients across pharmaceutical, chemical, food, and advanced materials sectors worldwide.

02 — Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and physical sciences to design equipment and system layouts using 3D design software (SolidWorks).

  • Designs equipment or system layouts, and prepares assembly models, approval prints, detailed drawings, and pneumatic & hydraulic schematics.

  • Analyzes equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs producible by existing manufacturing or processing facilities, methods, and current design standards.

  • Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing equipment, considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, fabrication methods, and other technical and economic factors.

  • Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications to facilitate continuous improvement of equipment performance and reliability.

  • Evaluates fit, form, and function of equipment design relative to integration with adjacent equipment, electrical components, and full system assemblies.

  • Evaluates equipment performance and design conformity to applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards required for the application (ANSI, OSHA, CE, ATEX, etc.).

03 — Qualifications

Education & Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or similar) preferred; or Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school with a minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training required.

Technical Skills

Excellent mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of SolidWorks or a similar 3D modeling program is required. Experience with FEA and CFD simulation tools is strongly preferred.
